So after camoflaging my camera, a very silly tale in this thread... http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=45454

I took a wonder around the woods and found these fabulous leaves blowing in the wind.

I hope they look ok, I've done something odd to my screen calibration so these were processed more from the histograms than the visual.

They need much more depth of field in my opinion.

I can see why they aren't going to work for lots of people. I do love to isolate very small amounts of detail. To look at the tiny parts of a scene that we'd normally not be able to see in greater picture.

The comments are all appreciated though. :)

Exactly why they work IMO, always look forward to seeing your stuff too :)

Hmm - I have come back to it and it works for me. The miniscule DOF just lifts and isolates the individual leaf from the golden background without thrusting it in my face. Yep - I like them.

Thanks guys. :)

always look forward to seeing your stuff too

Must be because I keep you waiting so long. ;)

I can appreciate what you see in these shots Dazza although I too find the DOF a little too shallow to be really comfortable. Love the colours though!
