HI, as anyone heard of or seen or even use one of the mentioned flash guns, there a advert in this months Digital Camera Magazine for them, special offer £99.99.. But the website doesnt work?.. just wondering what people thought of this as a first flash gun. I had the Nikon version of this. I bought it because I wanted a spare flash which I could use for off camera work but I wanted a TTL flash in case I needed a backup.

Overall for the money it is good. The thing with it is that whilst it is designed to look like a SB900, it really isn't.

It seemed to underexpose by a tiny bit when compared to my Metz but I don't think if you were comparing side by side like I was you would notice.

I found the menu a bit confusing and recycle from a full flash was quite variable. Sometimes it was 4 secs, other times 6 secs. Never the claimed 3. Again significantly slower than my Metz.

In the end I returned it for the above reasons. As a starter flash it could be quite good value but ultimately I needed something a bit faster.
