GND & ND Holder and Filters

Hello all, I have been using a Cokin P holder for landscape shots with a GND and this is fine, but the holder isn't big enough now that I am expanding my kit.

At the moment I have a Canon 400D, 50mm Prime, 75-300mm USM, 18-55mm kit. The cokin holder fits on the 50mm with the adapter ring that I have, but I just ordered an adapter ring for the 18-55mm which fits the lens but not the holder!

On top of that, I am getting a Canon 5D MKII and 24-105mm and the lens fitting on that is huge (74mm I think).

I need advice on what to go for for a one size fits all solution rather than carrying lots of kit for different lenses. I have a rather small budget but don't want to compromise on build quality/durability.

Can anyone please make some suggestions? I'm going to need a new holder and GND/ND filters.

You'll need 100mm filters (ideally 100x150 as it gives you a bit more room for manouvre). Your choices are Cokin Z Pro (I had them, perfectly useable), Hitech (I've got a 3 stop reverse ND grad from them and other than a bit of flare it is good) and Lee (my main filters, very good, neutral even when stacked but pricey and sometimes limited availability).

Also don't forget that your 18-55 won't fit the 5D as it is EF-S fit.

Whichever you go for I'd go for the Lee holder (foundation kit) as it is really good. If you're trying to keep costs down get an adaptor ring for the biggest you're using (the 24-105 is 77mm) and cheapo stepping rings from ebay up to that from your smaller lenses.
