Goddam keyboard keeps 'double-tapping'

Since I got my new Dell Inspiron, I keep getting double-letters appearing when I know I've only hit the key once...

It's never happened to me on any other keyboard and now that I'm using Win7, I have no idea if there's a way to slow down the keyboard so that (maybe) it doesn't register a hard keystroke as two hits...Which is what I'm assuming is happening here...

'C' seems to be particularly prone to this phenomenon...

lol...I know - it's basic, but until you know...

well, hopefully that's done it...
