Hi all

I have decided to invest in a Cokin P filter system, what do you all think?

I am thinking it is better instead of buying filters because you can carry less around and spend less too.

Where do you all recommend to buy them from? eBay has alot of cheap sets for like £3 but I dont think they are genuine!

I want to use it with my Canon 10-22mm and my 17-85mm

Thanks!

They're a good system, however I've read that Hi-tech and Kood filters are often of better quality, but they do fit in the Cokin P holder so as I understand it you can mix and match.

I'd steer clear from cheapies on eBay, unless the seller looks genuine or if they're being sold second hand. I wouldn't risk buying any filters from abroad either, but that could just me being a bit paranoid about it!

i've got the cokin nd grads, as others have said easy to get a magenta case especially when your stacking them, but nothing that can't be fixed in pp.

dont think they will work with your 10-22 thought, i use a 17-85 as well but i get vignetting at 17mm, you'll need the wide angle ones for your 10-22

they are good filters, have a look at my flicrk (link below) there's a couple of sunsets on page 2, they are done with the cokins. the Lee's are better quality and you wont get a colour cast, but they do cost 2 or 3 times as much, so you pays your money etc..

Oh yep, that's definitely a good point. You will get serious vignetting if you're using the standard holder on a UWA lens.

This is the sort of holder you're going to be wanting to need for your 10-22.
