Hi folks,
I've decided after nearly a year and over 30k (amateur) shots later that I'm going to go full frame. At the minute I have a 60D and because I was predominantly taking action photography I'd intended to get a 7D but recently I've taken some portraits (private and a school) and enjoyed it and I'm taking a lot of photographs of our baby as well as the six year old. I fancy FF to get the width although I'll probably miss the crop. My lens selection with the kit lens away is the 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 Sigma's and Canon 50 f1.4. My theory is that if I needed the reach that badly I can pick up a 1.4x tele and then maybe add a 120-300 down the line and because of the better ISO handling get away when it is darker at f4.
Is my theory sound? Am I mad? I would really love the 5D111 but they are way to much and the MK11 is strong money. Is the noise control on the 6D really that good - currently I've my limit set at 3200.
I was looking at the body from HDEW at £1109. The cheapest UK stock seem to be open box from WEX at £1299. Is there any reason to not buy an imported body from HDEW?

I sold my 60D when I bought the 6D...I found that if I cropped a 6D image to the same factor of that of the 60D, I got better pixel level quality on the 6D (at higher ISO certainly). I needed to downsize the 60D image to almost the same size as that of the 6D to reach the same quality.
