HI ALL

Now im off to the peak district this weekend for the first time im going to stay
near. But what i would like to know is ive seen some shots on the net etc... And would really like to get some autumn stream woodland shots. now there is a area called padley gorge which looks really nice, and on the National trust site theres a picture of the stream i would like to go.

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/mai...ryside/w-east_midlands-places-padleygorge.htm

Not sure if the link works but this is the stream area i would like to go to. could anyone please help me , so im not wasting my weekend searching instead of doing! Thanks everyone in advance for your help.

If you don't find that stream - and I'm sure you will, there is a great pub next door. You are not far from Millstone Edge and Burbage Brook is a short walk away - that may even be the stream you are after. Get your walking boots out and the tripod and enjoy the area. I go once every other month or so and love the place.

Dominic Start from here

Grindleford Station Cafe
Station Approach
Upper Padley
Grindleford
Hope Valley
Derbyshire
S32 2JA

Is this what you want HERE & HERE HERE and finally HERE

Park your car on the road (hill) down to the station cafe. Walk past the cafe (on right) over the railway bridge and keep to your right. There you can go through a stile fence or (gap) in the wall to your right and that will take you along the river through the wood (you can see it), halfway along in a dip there is a bridge should you wish to go on the other side. But at first keep the river on your left and walk on further. You wont be disappointed. By the way the cafe food is fantastic.

If you need somewhere to stop, try the Scotsman pub in Hathersage

thanks for that dcash29 very helpful. hopefully i will get some good shots:thumbs:

Grindleford station is certainly a good place to start. The woods near there are absolutely lovely, and if you tire of them you can head up on to the moors further up the valley.
