Yup! defo a Goldfinch Steve, nice capture (y) to me it looks a little soft on the eye but with no exif avilable it is hard to pass to much comment ;) But at a guess I would say a bit of head movement just at that crucial point.

Yup first mistake. Looked back and focus point a bit low, not on the eye. Thanks.

No probs we all get a few soft ones :LOL: I am not sure if your are interested Steve but I did a selective sharpen just on the head. I used the magnetic lassoo tool to select it, copy and pasted that selection which gives you a seperate layer. You can then hide the original layer and sharpen up the head, it is then just a case of flattening the layer down and saving. It is not 100% better and I am not sure if you can even see any difference your end :shrug:

Thanks can see the difference, but I'm afraid I've just found out how to press the shutter release button so that kind of PP is some way off. :)
