Can't make my mind up about this , it almost looks like the Goldfinch has been stuck on the feeder. The bird is a cracking shot but it just doesn't fit with the feeder (if that makes sense).

Have you tried putting a branch perch near the feeder to give them a more natural place to sit before eating ?

I'd have to agree with Mr Grubby on his comments.

I see what you mean. It's due to over sharpening. The light was poor and this was the only side on view of a Goldfinch that I'd got !

Agree with the above...nice Goldfinch but it looks like a pasted layer on my monitor. The bird looks like it's from a different shot to the feeder and background.

Maybe reduce the sharpness a bit and re-post it ?

Hi I agree its a bit over sharpened but its still a nice shot, these are tricky
As mr gubby said its worth setting up a branch near the feeder, thats what I do
