Brillilant (albeit wet) week in Shetland with Hugh Harrop. Here's a couple of yesterday's arctic hare shots fresh out the camera. These haven't even been cropped - the mad hare-brained animal began to bolt, stopped, then decided to lollop around to get a better look at us, before returning to his original spot to munch some heather and have a snooze. We left him to it.

He was definetly getting a better look at you in the 2nd shot.......Perhaps he was cursing the fact that no snow cover ment his camouflage coat wasn't effective enough at hiding him from tog tourists!! lol
Very well captured.
Out of curiosity, what distance away from you was he?

Just checked the exif - hare stopped 15m away :)
It was certainly a special moment.

Wow you were lucky to get him so close.....No wonder he had his beady eye on you!! lol

#2 an absolutely lovely shot, the eye contact, the composition, the heather ... smashing (y)
