all this for me, depends upon your budget.
I've recently bought a 2nd hand 5Dii and really like it but I need lenses that work with my 7D and FF camera so the Ef-S has to go.
Having already owned some EF lenses my choices are fairly clear.
The 50mm 1.4 is lovely on the 5Dii. and the 70-200mm OS Sigma is pin sharp in places. really pleased with that. Not up to the standards of the Canon L maybe but pretty good for the money/performance balance that I have to think about.
For wide I'll go with the tamron. My 17-55 IS canon has to go, so this will replace it I think.
if I had an unlimited budget I'd do things differently but I haven't the cash.
If 5D FF lenses are too expensive or heavy and you just need something to walk about with, the 28-105 USM (old lens now) is not L, but light and only £100 2nd hand.
I loved it back when I had a 350D and for just walking about and for personal snap shots I'm thinking about getting another copy. I wouldn't take it to a wedding but for cost and convenience it's a bargain I think.
Sometimes what you want is the shot, not the ultimate in pixel sharpness at 100% crops.
