Had a play with a mates 40D and 100-400 L the other day, my god that L glass focuses fast !

Looking for a similar lens to go on my D200, but cant find anything that seems to have consistantly good reviews.

Considered the 120-400 Sigma or the Bigma, but unconvinced.

Im almost tempted to sell up and go Canon just for that L glass.

Please help me remain loyal to Nikon and offer me some sanity !

The 200 isnt really long enough and I dont want to go to primes.

Its a crying shame Nikon dont do a similar lens to the 100-400 L.
 
yeah, great lens on the D200, I had one, worked really well with the D200 and even a 1.4x TC
 
Sigma 120-300 f2.8, thats fast AF - faster than the Canon 100-400...
