Good photography books

I'm sure that like me many of you read a lot of books about photography. Most of these tend to be technical books about exposure etc. and are very useful for learning but what I was thinking more of were photography books that focus on images accompanying a story rather than just focussing on technique. For example, I recently read 'Watching the World Change: The Stories Behind the Images of 9/11' and it was one of the most moving things I've ever read.
I'm now on the hunt for similar books where images accompany a greater theme such as a once in a lifetime holiday or a significant event. I'm pretty sure there must be plenty of books like this where there is a story as well as images rather than the usual caption given to each image.
Can anyone offer a recommendation of such books?

This seemed to get passed by when I originally posted (perhaps you're all interested in other areas of photography) but I thought I'd update, should any of you be interested, to say I've bought Reuters - Our World Now 1&2 and a couple of the World Press Photo books and the images in all are amazing and certainly evoke an emotional response. Not bad buys for under a tenner each!
