Hello

Have seen a 450d for £300 body only

Seriosuly considering the switch to Canon

is that a good price?

I mite buy it to make sure I like it and then sell it on if its not better than the A200.....

Cheers

£300 is a fair price yes, I think you will fine the ISO handling better on the 450D, bear in mind though that the 450D is not a pro body and is a 12mp on a crop sensor so will have some noise but a lot less than an A200 IMO, I have a friend who uses the SONY and he is always complaining about the bad noise even at ISO 400. The 450D is good to 400 but is a bit noisy at 800 although nothing unusable.

Only issue is that they have reset it so the shutter count reads 0 :S

They 'think' it was 'about' 5000 but it comes with a years warranty anyway

May just buy it and see how it feels

I had the 450 before upgrading to the 50D and I loved it. You won't be disappointed with it....

All you have to do is pop a new sd card in and see what picture number shows on it. I don't thinbk a camera can be reset. I was selling one too for £300 with 8500 clicks and thought that was cheap. It's a cracking camera.

It might have reset the file naming of images back to 0 but you can still get the true shutter count using external programs on an unedited image. I think Opanda is one of them but never personally used it.
