Hi,

So I'm looking at a good basic tripod to set me off, I got a cheap one off of eBay for £7 which is ok, but no where near stable enough!

I want to be able to use it for long exposure shots so looking for a nice and sturdy one, hopefully cheaper than £50 and certainly not more than £100!

Have you guys got any suggestions? I'd also be hoping to pick it up locally if possible to try some light trails tonight?

Thanks!

edit: I know Manfrotto are meant to be good, but have no idea where to start!

Velbon sherpa 250 R, you can pick them up for around the £40 mark new, the PH-157Q head on them is pretty good too..

A good tripod for only £50 you might be asking too much there, Maybe 2nd hand you will get a better bargain.

As a rule you realy shouldnt skimp on a tripod it can be just as important as a the camera.

Well I went for the Jessops one, I usually do listen to advice but went in and had a look at it and was impressed so walked out with one (with online discount of course)!
