Hi!
For the first time i would be at the Goodwood FOS - Saturday without grandstands - so only walking - what kind of lens I should buy to reach the cars on the track (is it possible)?
As a standart lens I am planning to use my Tokina 11-16.
The festival and revival are both really good for photography, have been for a number of years and usually use something like a 70-200mm for track stuff. Have a look at my flickr page for a number of albums with Goodwood images.
@Paul Holtom those pictures are really great? As i Can see - your photos were taken quite close to the track - have you had special photo pass or you were just a spectator? Is the Saturday ok day to walk and admire the festival for the first time?
up to-200 for track work and 18/70 ish for paddock shots.
It gets mega meag busy, so go in early or stay late for decent pit shots. Only downside with this is that a lot of th specials get covers put over them.
Fos is a mega day out of you have any sort f motorpsort soul in you.
Weekends will be really busy, so getting an unobstructed shot will be harder - although the higher up the hill you go, the less crowds there tends to be...
