Does anyone have their contacts syncing to and from google contacts on their mac?

I can get it to update from google but if i do a change on my mac it wont update in google.

I have the calendar working fine, just not contacts.

Yes, I set it up a while ago though and it isn't the greatest. I think I'll move my contact syncing to iCloud when that comes out later in the year as I am nowhere near as impressed with the contact syncing from Google as I am with their email and calendar syncing.
 
I was thinking the same, soooo close to being perfect as well.

The problem i have is i have a HTC phone which sync with Google really well and the iPad i have does, so why the iMac doesnt is beyond me.

Same thing with Hotmail exchange, works perfectly on the ipad but not at all on the Imac.
 
I have mine syncing with Google (contacts/calendar) works great every way around for me.

What issues are you having?

works for me, 10.7 to Android phone

(add/modify contact contact in address book on mac, hit sync icon on Menu bar. appears in contacts on Android handset - deleted from handset hit sync icon again removes from address book)
