I've just been given the go ahead by dad to buy a Gorillapod to take to New York (I fly out 2 weeks today) :D I've got a Sigma 70-200 2.8 so am thinking about buying the slr zoom size so I can use it with this lens. When I'm not using the big lens can I still attach ithe slr zoom Gorillapod to the bottom of my slr body?

Cheers :)

There's a thread here about a massive gorillapod.

If you do, I'd recommend that you use it with a remote control, or use the camera's self-timer :|.

I bought one of those SLR Zoom-size GPs this month and found that it springs around all over the place after you've pressed the shutter button and let go of the camera body, if you're using it "tripod style" (as opposed to wrapped tight around something).

Hope this tip helps .
