Yes
Some of you think oh my, you work in that place. But to me it's great! It's like a whole new learning curve!

At college I hardly learn anything but now, I work in a shop where I have to learn and know everything it's going to be great! Learning new things everyday.

Surrounded by fellow photographers and serving people who do it for a living will be great!

And I get paid for talking and selling stuff I enjoy.

I'm pretty happy,

:bonk:

Good for you! :)

In the current climate, getting a job at all is no mean feat. The fact that it's associated with a hobby makes it a double-bonus!

Yup, it happened as I used to work as a free lance photographer at a night club, where i turn up when i want and leave when i want. and I was talking to the owner of the club about how I need a job. And last week he put my name foward for the job and they made contact with me. So i'm pretty happy. :D

go for it
lots of nice toys to play with and ignorant photographers to educate. I've worked on the technological coal face :) in a shop...it can be very rewarding
just remember you'll get some morons in too, just smile and chalk those ones down to experience!

Well done - happy learning (and selling of course!)

Your enthusiasm and knowledge will make you a good salesman. Good luck.

Excellent - well done

well done
jobs coming arent easy nowadays

hold out for 25% staff discount and then contact me :D

Well done Jake:thumbs:

Did you ever get the camera you were wanting?

Oh, and just so you know, sell the new sony cameras, the mark up is absurd and your contribution will go sky high.

High contribution = big pay packet! :D

But keep it a secret, I don't want anyone on the forum to know!

I applied to work in Jessops at the beginning of the holiday, and got rejected :(

Congrats though!!!

Chris
