Got my new lens today advice needed.

Hi

I got me new second hand lens today a canon 28-135mm IS and its really good condition no scratches are marks on the glass or the body, came with a UV filter and a canon hood, no caps but ordered them off ebay.

Question is when twisting it to zoom in or out it gets to approx 70mm then gets a little stiff/jerky, nothing serious but noticible.
Is this normal and if so can it be eased/lubricated in anyway???

Also got my flash from jessops delivered today aswell, post to Guernsey is slow with the xmas rush at the mo the ones for £39 woohoo well pleased just like xmas all over again.

Mine exhibits the same thing between 50 and 70mm. Maybe not "normal" but certainly not unusual.
