Advice please,
I have a Nikon DSLR and want to attach GPS data to my photos. I also seem to take most of my photos while meandering around Europe, although I live and work in UK. Looking at the price of the Nikon unit a couple of years ago, I bought one of these:

This is great, but I have three problems with it. Firstly I sometimes forget to take it with me when out for walks, secondly I sometimes forget to turn it on while wandering around or driving, and thirdly, and this is the biggest issue, I seem to have random problems in getting the times and GPS data to sync properly, meaning I have to mess around with time zone and daylight saving settings to get the correct GPS data on the photos, and having messed around, sometimes the time is incorrect on the photo, even though the location is correct.
My camera is set to UCT +1 regardless of whether I use it in UK or Europe, as is my laptop, which I use on the road. However, my home PC is set to normal UK daylight saving, and it is while stamping the photos here that I seem to be have the majority of the problems. To be clear, it doesnt cause problems every time, just sometimes.
Im not knocking the Blumax thing as it does a great job of logging where Ive been along with altitude, average speed etc, and helped me save about 20 minutes off my daily commute but, in terms of stamping pictures with the correct GPS data, should I just spend the cash and get the Nikon unit?
Anybody out tried both the cheap and expensive options? Or should I just set all my gadgets to the same time zone and save myself money?
