Graduated filters advice

I have a Nikon D90 and use a 35mm 1.8 mm lens and a 18-105mm lens and am keen on landscape photography.

What kit do I need to be able to use graduated filters on both lenses? Could I use one set that is suitable for both lenses? Approximately how much would it cost?

Thank you in advance for any advice.
 
The 'slot-in' type of filter like Lee Filters are the best IMO - you will need a filter holder, an adapter to fit your lens filter size (eg 77mm) and the filters required.
Lee are expensive but good, cheaper alternatives under 'Square Filters' can be found at www.premier-ink.co.uk - with filters, like lenses, get the best you can afford :)

Many thanks for the link to your blog. That is a very clear explanation of what the ND grads are and how to use them. I understand it for the first time. Thanks for making the information so accessible.

So if I understand you aright, I ought to buy an adaptor ring that is big enough for the widest lens (in my case my Nikon 18-105mm), so that it will also fit my 32mm lens. Is that right? Also is the filter holder a standard size or will I need a filter holder for each of my two main lenses?
