A wet but enjoyable morning shooting the Division 1 meet at Grandtully. Years since I was up there and lots of the shots are close but not quite there due to poor backgrounds etc. I also spent a huge amount of time shooting the biggest rapids and realised that the shots don't have the same impact as others due to most competitors closing their eyes. Quite please with the slow shutter shot, 1/50th, as that was the best from a good couple of hundred I tried. Panning with the A7R IV is very difficult and I tried in vain to get a good one before swapping lenses and shooting the A9 which is a dream to pan with as there is no blackout. Only took about 3 runs with the A9 panning and got a few decent ones and the one belowSo pleased to be out shooting some sport.

Great set and yes brilliant sense of the action.

Great shots - reminds me of a holiday I had in Slovenia twenty years ago when I had a go. It was so wet, I felt like my skin was letting in water. o_O
