Howdy all,

The cooling fan on my PC graphics card (ATI Radeon Sapphire X1650 Pro) has just failed. Fortunately the card still functions but gets hot really fast so I'm not gonna use it again until I can either a) get a new fan or b) replace the card.

I'm thinking along the lines of taking this opportunity up upgrade the graphic capability of the PC. The hardest thing it does is editing photographs - no graphic intensive gaming - but I'd like to over-spec the card so it isn't pushed.

The replacement needs 2 x digital outputs to drive 2 x LCD panels and ideally HDMI out too.

Any recommendations that won't break the bank - say less than £75?

TIA :)

+1 on the replacement fan. What s/w do you use to edit - the software has to utilise the hardware to improve performance in any way.

Not up on the ATI cards, but as long as it's OpenGL2.0 capable, Photoshop should support it. See: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404898.html

I've just been looking at Zalman coolers and that does look like the most economic solution ... even if it's not the answer I wanted :D

The current card is fully supported by Adobe photoshop CS5 Extended.

Cheers for the advice guys guess I'd better get the credit card out (again) :)
