Grasshopper

Well, I'm not sure this is considered macro, but it is fairly close up. I don't usually do bugs (creepy crawlies give me the heebie-jeebies) but this one was just sort of hanging around, and I couldn't resist. I used my Canon 70D with 55-250 lens and 31mm extension tube.

What a blooming brilliant find... was it alive though or as it just looks like a shell of a grasshopper?

It never occurred to me that it might not be alive! I was surprised it kept hanging on. Now, I have to wonder...
