I've grown some big buddleia bushes & the bees love them for as long as they flower. I wish I could do more.
I used a texture in Photoshop which is easy to to do...
I'm really sorry, I need to work on my photo uploading skills...

I don't think that one has to 'grow' buddleias - they seed themselves profusely - just look at any forgotten chimneystack or railway wasteland. But where are your bees, Darren? I can't see them. Or your PS texture, either.

Sorry, had a lengthy snafu re: internet/pc obeying my authority... Darn that pic's big! Need a better way of posting...

You're right on the common purple flowered Buddleia Davidii. I've grown several orange, round flower clustered types that flower really early & a white flowered one that flowers late Summer.
F*(k it! I even turned my grass over to clover...

You're probably right.
Sorry wildlife botherers! I should've posted in Post Production or somewhere...

Well that's a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! Very bright and striking, certainly, but wildlife as in Jimi Hendrix, rather than Watership Down :)
