Not been taking photo's for some time now and decided to head to Lincoln Cathedral to get things going again. Came across one of the newer gargoyles thats been fitted during its repairs. apparently its symbolises greedy bankers!

That would make sense as when I was googling it yesterday it came up as "skull grotesque". Didn't realise there was a difference though and thought they were all still gargoyles, something else to read into today I think!
 
A Gargoyle has either an open mouth, or a pipe coming from the mouth, which takes rainwater from internal/concealed roof gutters.
 
Yeah i know all about the Imp, its a fab story and whenever i head to to the cathedral always go and find him.
 
And amended the title as well :)
 
I haven't been to Lincoln for quite a few years now, despite the fact I live in the south of the county. Must visit there this Spring.
