thanks for the comments guys, the pic is hand held in the wild, i just use a homemade diffuser on my 430EXII which carries the light right down to the subject, you just need a box or tube to channel the light down from the flash head to the subject, with a lens/diffuser at the end to soften and spread the light. hope this helps?? look at the equipment thread under this section theres loads of ideas there.
