I know, such a bummer. Anything I can do to alter that or avoid it in future?

You could try exposing for such highlights ZZ ... :shrug: ... you can then bring out the darker bits in processing especially if you use RAW ... ... something you cannot do with blown highlights ...


An amazing reptile and one of my all time faves ... ... and not JUST because it is Green ...
