A few more shots of the greenshank taken on Sunday.

Having no decent shots of a greenshank at all, I feel reluctant to comment, but I will.

Sharp and well exposed, just a shame the bird is looking away from you on all the shots.

Thank's Pete. These shots were taken from a hide as the bird was walking past, at a distance of about 2 yards out. Now after looking again at all the 40 or so shots I took, as it walked past, none show it looking towards me. Wonder if it that was due to it being a bit wary as it walked past, due to the noises from the hide.

A shame the light was not kinder to you, would have made them really pop, good set though

Me too, and given the circumstances these are pretty good shots, I'd certainly be happy with them never having seen one even

Likewise I would be happy with shots like these, may not be what you expected Lammie, but I think they are still creditable shots, well done.

Nice series Lammie Like has already been said, a better head angle would have been nice but nice captures anyway.

Correct, one of the hides at the Egleton Reserve, can't remember the name of it.
