Other than seeing a head bobbing in the distance, this weekend was the first time I've gotten anything remotely close to seals in their natural environment. We went to two locations on Saturday, the first one was quieter and allowed us to get a bit closer. Unfortunately, I had to ditch most of the photos from Saturday as in my excitement I wasn't paying attention to the shutter speed and so we went back to the first site again on Sunday morning in the rain and got some better photos albeit a little noisier. It was a real joy to sit there in the drizzle and watch a couple of young ones playing 'rough-and-tumble' at the waters edge.
