Grip and Tripod Advice Please

Hi, I have fitted a grip to my D90 and find that my tripod is now a little top heavy.

Do you remove the grip when using a tripod or can someone give me an idea as to what tripod and head would be best suited.

I don't use a tripod that often hence the reason I've not got suitable one. I'm now looking at getting out more and doing some low light stuff etc.

try to hang some weight low down on the legs it will add stability.
