These are now reaching 4" long now and growing well on the rampant ivy from the garden. They are just starting to lose colour now, adults are plain dark brown. (Eurycantha calcarata) All shots taken with the Canon 350d, MP-e 65 and MT24ex macro twin lite.

Dave I do take shots of bits and bobs like feet ova and stuff but head shots always seem to get more interest TBH. These are shot 1:1 with the mpe as they are getting bigger now. I will put some feet shots up for you as there are quite neat, one moment ;)

Stick insects foot stacked 3 shots and close up mug shot stacked with 7 shots.

Go for it, once you get used to it you will love it I'm sure but remember you will need off camera flash or macro lite/ring flash to get the best from it.
Right ugly beasties, but make for some cracking photo's I gotta say. (y)
Looks are everything so I've been told and ugly is what makes them fascinating I think. Thanks for ;ooking ;)

Wow, now they are impressive shots.

Never do like looking at insects really close.

But you have done a good job on them, enough to even get a comment from me :D

Love them all tbh. Except the foot.

Jordie
