Got fed up with the flash, so I wacked the iso to 1600, F2.8, 1/20

Looks like some pretty good panning to me at that speed! Wish I could've managed that at Le Mans last year!

sorry for newbie type question: panning, is a technique to take cars, right?

And the sharpnes at 1/20. Damn that's difficult, isn't it?(y)
If you had the flashlight temperd the result would be even better.

What do you mean flashlight temperd, I haven't heard of that technique before. I'll try it next year

I don't know, the commentator wasn't able to follow the race either :)

To answer my own question it was the same car, just looked back through my own photos.
I'd been standing up through the sunroof in my car, taking photos along the start straight and I didn't even see it spin.:thinking::LOL:
 
Spot on that, excellent sharpness for 1/20th. I'd be very pleased with that indeed.
