I have absolutely no idea regarding the combinations used, but those are some cracking pictures!!

Any tips for a beginner about to embark upon his first attempt at shooting motorcycles? I am at Silverstone this weekend for MotoGP and wouldn't mind some friendly advice!!

Long lens (all the above were 600mm or longer ) and a fast shutter speed (all the above were 1/500th or shorter).

Thanks. The longest I have is 400mm (effectively f/5.6) using my 70-200mm f/2.8 and the 2x teleconverter, I suppose it'll have to suffice!!

Contiuous focus, single point dynamic area so you can move fucus point to seltected area needed to frame right. In your case becasue of the converter you need to be shooting at around F8 and close to 400mm... set your ISO to achieve this if weather conditions are not perfect. Key really is nailing the focus point on the riders head and let the camera do its job, easy to say hard in practice LOL. Shoot Raw !

Muchos gracias kind sir! I'll use Saturdays qualifying as a practice day, for both shooting technique and 'optimum' track placement (as I've never been there).
