I came across this War Memorial in Guide, near Blackburn.
It is situated on a seemingly time warped cul-de-sac that has been cut off from the main road through Guide by the M65 motorway.
There are just some old farm buildings near the start of the road and a row of terraced houses opposite the memorial.
Unusually, it is dedicated both to 'the men of this school who served' and 'Roll of Glory - To The Fallen.
The other sad thing, to me, was there being no evidence of a school remaining.
