Well, no-one else has said anything, so I'll set the ball rolling...... I'm not sure what you were after here, but you have missed out the bottom of the guitar and the flash has caused quite a harsh shadow on the background. To be absolutely honest, it looks more like a snapshot than a photograph......sorry

Kind of agree with above. A closer crop taking out the ceiling and the board on the right and some cloning out of the shadows will help. The shooting angle from a lower level is good tho.

Thanks for comments which I do not find altogether surprising

The image started out a record shot in a less than perfect situation using the built in flash.

The bottom of the guitar was cropped because of forground clutter. The shot was a experiment in using photomatrix to tone map a single RAW file.

I was about to say it looks just like a snap. try some cropping and converting to B+W that would improve it a bit.
