Gulls in flight.

Got a bit bored so went down to the rivers edge where these gulls hang out, and had a bit of panning practise!! they actuall make another good bird to test your photogtraphy skills on!

Thanks G_Dem, i used the 70-200L f2.8 IS USM on the Canon 20D.

1/1000 f4. ISO 200 @170mm.

1st one for me too, very nicely captured Bev
I think that the last one could do with a levels tweak or shadow/highlight adjustment though IMHO as the background seems a bit dull

Nicely captured! I have tried gulls in flight myself, and found it very tricky indeed! breaking all the rules and feeding them seemed to help though!

Done a bit of highlight/shadow adjustment like you suggested Moomike, and attached it, is this better?

Thanks everyone for your comments, Grumpybadger i think i lowered my SSpeed for #3 to get some image blur on wing tips, perhaps over cooked it a bit thought!:nono: these were taken over 2 days, weather different on both days:thumbsdown:
