Guy Fawkes weekend

I can't decide between going to see Poole fireworks or Bridgwater carnival for the 5th

Then for the 6th I am thinking about going to the south coast, and then Bath fireworks on the way back. There is also Caerphily castle bonfire display that sounds very promising.

Probably there are loads more that I am not even aware of. I am based in Bristol by the way.

What would / will you do?

Burnham carnival on monday will be a fab night & Burnham fireworks on the day before.

Thanks, that's Sunday and Monday sorted then. Is Burnham carnival quite similar to Bridgwater one?

Hiya, the carnivals move from town to town competing for prizes in each town as they go. The procession can be up to 2 miles long & take 2-3 hours to pass. Get there early as the roads will be closed before the event & it may be less crowded at the Marine Drive end of the procession where it finishes. Try to park by Morrisons & walk through or dump your car on the Haven holiday site if you can. Sunday night will also be mobbed with thousands there. Apparently they are erecting a platform in the water this year to let the fireworks off.
