I have visited this building many times over the past 15 years. The sense of history, of time, of awe at man's ability to build, is something I have not found to the same extent anywhere else. To think that this building was built 1,500 years ago, and is still not only standing but contains the largest masonry dome in the world. And this week was the first time I have been there with a decent camera in hand.
