A quick and dirty picture showing the colour performance of the Haida 10-stop slim MC ND filter.
I took a custom white balance with the lens naked, and used that setting throughout to give a true impression of colour-cast. As such, it could be improved further by setting the white balance specifically for the filter. The camera used was an X100, which has its own built-in 3-stop ND.
From left to right in the pic below...
1) No filters
2) Built in ND filter (3 stop - 8x)
3) Haida (10 stop - 1024x)
4) Haida + built in ND filter (13 stop - 8192x!!!)
These are straight-from-camera, unedited JPEGS using exactly the same white balance setting. As you can see, the Haida works stunningly well for the price. It's easily usable for colour long-exposures with a bit of adjusting, and absolutely perfect for B&W photos. There was no noticeable degradation in image quality.
What impressed me most was that the Haida+inbuilt filter colour cast was virtually indistinguishable from the Haida by itself, meaning 8000x exposures are perfectly possible.
