Hair or bristle on mirror

Hi

On my 3 month old 7D I have just noticed in the bottom right corner of my viewfinder that there is what looks like either a hair or a bristle lodged in the corner. I can see it when looking through the view finder with or without a lens but can't see anything on the mirror or focus screen when looking inside.

I have tried blowing it away with the usual puffer / air canister but no change.

Firstly, how do I eliminate if it's on mirror, focus screen or inside the viewfinder lens?

Secondly, should I send it in to have it removed or just live with it?

is it appearing on any photo's?

if its on the viewfinder, then you won't see it on images... it will just be a bit annoying for you to see it when you look thru the viewfinder. try sliding the rubber bit up off the viewfinder and see if you can get at it then.

Either just live with it or send it to Canon for a service.

It's definitely not on any of the images and it's definitely not on the outside of the viewfinder. It may very well have been there from new because it's so small and tucked away in the corner you have to look for it to see it.

sound like its in the viewfinder, this is a common problem for people how use rocket blowers as it blows stuff up inside the view finder.
