Doe's anyone have one?

I need to know if the ball head is removable?

I cant get out to go and look at one and would like to know before considering getting one.

Yes, it is. The ball head was terrible on my one - I quickly replaced it with a better Manfrotto ball head and it makes an excellent lightweight tripod set up.
