Hampshire events

Hi, does anyone know of any events in/around Hampshire where I can photograph without having to worry too much about passes etc. I haven't done any motorsport before and ideally would just like to get some practice in. I know Goodwood isn't too far from Southampton, but I read somewhere about photography being restricted (can't find the link now).

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I think Thruxton would be the closest one for you.

Castle Combe cant be that far either, and Brands Hatch will be about 1.5 hours east.

If your not selling your images then you can freely snap away.

Never heard of any restrictions at goodwood.

Also consider Santa Pod for some fast stuff, but is about 2 hours each way.

I live about 5 min's from goodwood and i am always up there on track days etc, I have only been told once they I couldn't take pics without permission from jaguar as it was a jag test day. other than that I keep moving about taking pictures on the track, in the pits and if you are very lucky you might get a spitfire or harvard coming in or out on the airfield...and dont forget the cafe around the back where the pilots eat do a good breakfast and all day food......always worth a look if you are passing..
