Hmmmm...I got one a few weeks back but since then chopped it in for a 5D mk2.
The screen on them are absolutely atrocious but the servo tracking is pretty good.
Overall not really that impressed and getting a tad long in the tooth now!!
 
Certainly the LCD is not the best but it's fine for checking exposure. I replaced my 5DII with the 1DsIII to get improved focus accurracy and a better spread of focus points. My main criticism of the 5D/5DII is that the focus points are too "centred" due to the bodies having a 1.6x crop mirror box. Much of the time this isn't an issue but focus and recompose with fast primes is fraught with danger and the 1DsIII can overcome this.
The other plus for me personally is the commonality with the 1DIV controls.
1DsIII....cleaner below Iso 1600, 5DII....cleaner above Iso 1600

I'm happy with mine but I suspect it'll be sent packing when the 1Dx becomes generally available.

Bob hi, I've recently started using the back focus button to "lock" the focus away from front shutter release button, then recompose instead of using any other of the AF points, did you try that with your 5D, sorry if this is going off subject.

Matt,

Yes, I only use the AF (back) button for focus. Recomposing at wide apertures when close to the subject can often result in a slight shift from where you want to real have the crispness.

I upgraded from a 1Ds to the II and love it. Image quality and speed are a real step up and am now using for Dressage Photography... I'm also just experimenting with Lightroom for the first time as well as a new 24-105 so I've a lot to learn, but very pleased so far.

Here's a quick sample from this weekend.




This is cropped about 50% as well...
