Yes
It Sunday, it's raining, I have a cold and will be spending the next ten hours standing in a field shooting skittish, mud-and-stone-flinging horses through lousy light. Many of the number bibs will be obscured, I won't be able to hear them coming because a/the wind will drown the sound of their approach and b/ the PA will get full of water and electrocute the announcer.

This time last week I was doing tourism shots in 25C near Bordeaux, working about three hours a day for twice the money...

God, I love being a photographer. :cuckoo:

Yes, it was just outside Taunton!

I actually rang before leaving as the weather was horrendous in Wells - I wondered if the course had been declared unsafe. As it happened, there was some drizzle but nothing worse. Had a good, if long, day shooting around 250 showjumpers.
