As some of you may be aware we (myself & Eileen) did or first event yesterday for Candlelighters foundation, it was a free day for parents and families with children suffering fron terminal illnesses.
We arrived at 08:30 and got our gear set up, laptop and printer for on the spot photos and I was taken into one of the hangars to get my light settings sorted but luckily the day stayed a dry one but dull.
09:30 was my first ohoto so off down the runway I went and got 3 shots and back up the runway to Eileen at the laptop this was only the beginning, I was up and down the runway all day and taking shots of families in between all of which had to be processed and printed on the spot by Eileen.
We were looked after very well by the organisers as they popped in at least every half hour to see if we needed a drink or something to eat or a toilet break as we were just so busy we never stopped.
The event passed off without any reall problems and ended around 3:30pm with the Yak display but not for us, we were busy printing the shots for the kids and me..... I was pulled out every couple of minutes for more photos all of which needed printing and Eileen simply wouldnt let the kids down they all had to be done.
6pm finished five and a half hours behind schedule so anyone thinking photography especially events where the photos have to be printed on the go are easy please think again, we were physically knackered after this......but would love to do it again.
The smiles were just so nice to see
