Hard rolling case recommendation

Hi,

I'm struggling to determine what size, and potentially, what make and model, hard rolling case to buy. I need to be able to sit on the case and it needs to be able to easily store the following equipment;

- 3 camera bodies (full size or crop bodies with grips)
- canon 70-200L f/2.8
- canon 300L f/2.8
- canon 24-105L
- canon 16-35L f/2.8
- canon nifty fifty
- at least one 580EX II
- couple of rf603 remote triggers or pocket wizards
- small tripod/gorilla pod
- MacBook pro

anyone using a hard rolling case with similar equipment?

Any advice would be most appreciated. I've been looking at Pelicase and Calumet range but really not sure what size I'm going to need other than laying my kit out and measuring.

I use the Peli 1610 and i have in it.

Nikon D3S
Nikon D700 with grip
Nikon 400mm f/2.8 (2 section hood, 1 section reversed, 1 left in place, so as long as a 600mm lens with hood reversed.)
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8
Nikon 16-35mm f/4 VR
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8
Nikon 50mm f/1.8
Nikon SB-600 flash unit
3x spare D3S/D700 batteries
Think Tank 300-600 waterproof cover for the D3S and 400mm
A bag full of assorted card readers, flash cards, 2 x laptop mice, dongle.
Dell Latitude E6500 15.6 inch laptop
2x spare laptop batteries
Waterproof trousers and coat
Still enough room for 2 more bodies and probably a couple of lenses

Forget the calumet range, not big enough, forget the Peli 1500, 1510 as theyre not big enough either.

Where are you based Dave, if your near me why not pop over with your gear and try mine for size, im 5 mins from JCT 26/27 M62 west Yorkshire
 
I think I'll have to have a look at one of these. I've got too much for my Tamrac Expedition 9x backpack and it just fits in my Tamrac Super Pro 14 at the moment, but if I get much more gear I'm stuffed for that too. I might have to get one for indoor storage.
 
This is how i worked mine yesterday

The Nikon 70-200 will stand upright freeing up even more room, ive laid it flat and padded it underneath with spare dividers to "fill it out" ive "padded out" several sections, theres also 3 spare laptop batteries in there as well

The tripod arm sticking up from the 400mm is fine stood up as it fits into the lid

On up of this lot i then put my Gelert relax seat which is a very nice fit, on top of the seat and under the tripod arm i have my Dell Latitude E6500 laptop with extended 9 cell battery, i slide this in from the right under the tripod foot and this holds it securely, to the left of the tripod foot i then have my iPad, mouse mat etc, etc, my monopod is then attached to the top outside handle.

Just a shame you filled it with Nikon gear :naughty:

Love the way you've everything in there and it seems to work really well, especially the way you slide the laptop under the tripod mount - genius! :cool:
