That's exactly what it is, he was right in the middle of the woods, too, about quarter of a mile from the fields. Took me by surprise. I only had my 200mm f2.8 lens on - the longer lens was at home. Still quite pleased to have got him - he bolted for cover seconds later and I had to grab my Border terrier sharpish!
Hares spend a lot of time browsing in woodland but you are less likely to see them there. In areas that are heavily dogged they will run straight to woodland, for obvious reasons.
Nice catch Steve cool being in woodland yet to get one there seen them enter and leave but never an image,hell of a spot too just a shame it's not quite sharp still wonderful to see though cheers for sharing
