has anyone bought ebay nd filters before?

I dont realy have a clue what im buying but i have to go out at daft times of night to get long exposures or the exposure is total over done.i think i need nd filters to capture these in the day.only just satarted photography so dont wana spend the earth ...so my question is has any one used these cheap ones and what results will i get? cheers all any pointers that will help me appreciated

I bought a set of cheap ones from Ebay a few years back and they were fine, no idea if they're the same ones, but at a tenner for three you're not exactly breaking the bank.....

yep I bought a set like this and they were fine. just I couldn't use them in direct sunlight as they did tend to flare slightly.

yeah the tenner is realy cheap so there worth a try i suppose.just wondered if the picture quality will be rubbish or it will effect the focus etc leading to oof pics? cheers
